Les Robertson
Guitarist, Percussionist, Photographer, Computer Design Geek.
Les offers session guitar and percussion work, band photography and custom computer design.
In short - Les is highly creative and technically adept. Plus he’s an all around great guy who will give you the shirt off his back. If it wasn’t for Les, I would have never become the electric guitarist that I am today. Les graciously let me take over his smokin Marshall rig and a custom Strat. I recorded all my electric parts on “Just Cool Music” with that rig. To that indulgence, I quickly became addicted once again to the roar of distortion and burning solos complete with sweet, harmonic feedback. Thanks Les!!! - Your Pal Matt.
Les’ Bio
Born in Mystic Connecticut in 1964, Les began playing the Trumpet at the age of 9. At the age of 13, he decided that girls were cool, and that he would befriend more if he were playing trumpet less, and guitar more. Les jammed with friends and such, and eventually found himself in a Punk band called “The Elastic Waste Band”.
Jump ahead a few years, Les joined an 80’s new wave band called “PLASTICA“, while at the same time, in a 70’s tribute band , That 70’s Band!.Currently Les is writing original music with his latest band “Fat Grip”. They can be heard every afternoon on WCCC’s Picozzi Holden and Klonk radio show as the show sound track.
Artist Statement:
“One thing I’ve come to realize, is that every band im in, my bandmates affect me in a very deep way, and I’ll always feel an odd “bond” with them. While I have worked in the restaurant field, forestry and software development, nothing will ever make me feel as passionate as I do when Im making music”.
